I don't see privacy policy for reddit, stumbleupon and pocket.

It would be nice to add those for user that integrate their social features in their websites.
  • Hi ateny, Can you link me to those features you're talking about specifically and explain how you use them on your site? Thank you, Simon
  • http://www.stumbleupon.com/ http://getpocket.com/ https://www.reddit.com/ Offer buttons to add to each page for sharing. Button analogous to the ones you see at the bottom of http://blog-en.theplanetarysystem.org/2014/10/03/absolute-reason/ for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Email, Google, Pininterest, Tumblr, Press This (wordpress). Those, together with the former three, are the ones offered by Jetpack for Wordpress.
  • Ok thank you, The reason I was asking is that simple links to share aren't really relevant. It's different however for first party buttons like the like button and tweet button since they track the users. Jetpack however is a different beast that we haven't fully featured/integrated yet. Jetpack boasts a great amount of features among it analytics (which we've earlier integrated as WordPress stats). It kind of depends which features you're using. Are you just using the social buttons feature?
  • I am using (1) their social share feature (facebook, linked, all the ones I wrote above), (2) their ability to post automatically to facebook and twitter, (3) their ability to let people make comments on posts, (4) the ability for people to subscribe to the blogs and receive updates when a post is posted, and (5) the ability to notify blogs and search engines. The way they call these features is: - Enhanced distribution (Jetpack will automatically take the great published content from your blog or website and share it instantly with third party services like search engines, increasing your reach and traffic.) - Jetpack comments (Jetpack Comments enables your visitors to use their WordPress.com, Twitter, or Facebook accounts when commenting on your site.) - Publicize (Publicize allows you to connect your blog to popular social networking sites and automatically share new posts with your friends. You can make a connection for just yourself or for all users on your blog. Publicize allows you to share your posts on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Yahoo!, and Linkedin.) - Sharing - Subscriptions (Easily allow any visitor to subscribe to all of your posts via email through a widget in your blog’s sidebar. Every time you publish a post, WordPress.com will send a notification to all your subscribers. When leaving comments, your visitors can also subscribe to a post’s comments to keep up with the conversation.)
  • Ok ateny, Given the popularity of this plugin we are going to discuss an integration internally. Until then you should add the above to your privacy policy as a custom service. http://iubenda.com/dashboard > edit/add privacy policy > add service > create custom service You should say that you use Jetpack by Automattic and what it does for your site. Also don't forget to link to their privacy policy. From looking at it only subscriptions and comments are really relevant since they record personal data.
  • Hi Ateny, A first service that's been added is WordPress.com Single Sign on, this is for user registrations. I realize it's something you are not using, but it was a result of your inquiry and therefore I figured I'll announce it here. Regarding: - Enhanced distribution (Jetpack will automatically take the great published content from your blog or website and share it instantly with third party services like search engines, increasing your reach and traffic.) This doesn't seem relevant from a privacy related standpoint. - Jetpack comments (Jetpack Comments enables your visitors to use their WordPress.com, Twitter, or Facebook accounts when commenting on your site.) I'll have to take another look here. - Publicize (Publicize allows you to connect your blog to popular social networking sites and automatically share new posts with your friends. You can make a connection for just yourself or for all users on your blog. Publicize allows you to share your posts on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Yahoo!, and Linkedin.) This is probably not relevant. - Sharing Same as above. - Subscriptions (Easily allow any visitor to subscribe to all of your posts via email through a widget in your blog’s sidebar. Every time you publish a post, WordPress.com will send a notification to all your subscribers. When leaving comments, your visitors can also subscribe to a post’s comments to keep up with the conversation.) This would potentially be a useful integration; I'll think about it.
  • Hi Simon, Thank you for the response. It looks like from my side there is no action item yet. I will be looking forward to see when you release something for the Subscriptions. You responding directly to this thread and triggering a notification to me was really appreciated! Thank you
  • Hi back ateny, Know that these things are on my list, so if there are any developments, I'll let you know.

  • Either way, once you know where it is it is simple to activate: open the Reddit app > tap the drop down icon below your profile name > select Anonymous Browsing.
