My website is running hosted on Amazon EC2 and additionally uses an external database provider. How do I include these providers in my privacy policy? Since you explicitly list the 3rd-parties that the data is being shared with, they probably need to be included as well?

Andrea - the DB provider in our case is MongoHQ. We also host on Heroku, which has a great addons page that lists most of the companies that should be on your list:
Hosting companies are something that most privacy policies don’t cover, but there is no particular reason for this, just a bad habit. For this reason, this needs some thought on our side before the implementation.
