# Text Messaging Clause: Podium, GMB, etc

I've received a client request to have a text messaging clause on their privacy policy. They will be using a GMB messaging integration with Podium (a leading messaging app).

According to the TCPA, which has been the FCC's leading regulation in electronic communications, businesses and organizations must obtain written consent from individuals before sending text messages.

Additionally, consider alerting recipients to the following:

The name of your business, organization, or nonprofitThe types of messages that you will be sendingThe volume of text messages per monthAny fees that will be chargedHow to opt out
