We use mozeo for SMS communications: https://www.mozeo.com/ Would be nice to be able to include this as a service disclosure.

I haven't used Twilio so I couldn't say. Basically you can collect mobile numbers into a database and then send out sms messages to those contacts. You can also collect emails and they have a widget that allows you to collect the data directly to your database.
