Complianz - How to change a link text or title within your cookie banner

How to Change the "Privacy Statement" or "Cookie Policy" Link Text in the Cookie Banner

There are two ways to change this text, depending on your setup.

Option 1: Rename the Page (Recommended)

The banner automatically pulls the link text from the title of the page Complianz created for your Privacy Statement or Cookie Policy. Renaming these pages is the most reliable method:

1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Pages > All Pages.
2. Find the page titled "Privacy Statement" or "Cookie Policy".
3. Hover over it and click Quick Edit.
4. Update the Title to your preferred text.
5. Click Update to save.
6. Return to the Complianz Wizard and click Finish.

Your changes will be reflected in the cookie banner immediately.

Option 2: Reset via Translations

If your site language is fully supported by Complianz, try refreshing the banner settings first:

1. Go to Tools > Translations to check for any pending language updates.
2. If you recently changed your site language and the banner is still showing old text, go to Consent Banner > General and click Reset.

⚠️ Note: Resetting will also affect your banner's appearance settings.
