Hello user,
When users can enter data directly on the site through, for example, a contact form, a registration form or a newsletter subscription, they will generally have to explicitly give their consent, for example by ticking a checkbox (or several checkboxes if there are multiple processing purposes).
The checkboxes must not be pre-selected and they must have a content that makes it clear to the user how the data he is communicating will be used. For example, in a contact form, you could use a checkbox of this type: "I authorize the data controller to use my personal data to send communications relating to this contact request".
As previously mentioned, if the data collected through a form are used for different purposes, it is necessary to set up a checkbox for each purpose. As in the example above regarding the contact form, you will need to set up a second optional checkbox to request specific consent if you also wish to start sending newsletters to the user. This checkbox could be composed as follows: "I agree to receive newsletters with information and offers related to the service (optional).
