I confirm that the cookie banner is working correctly on your website. One of the functions of the cookie banner is precisely to block cookies in advance and only release them if the user gives consent.
The regulations indeed require that services — that is, parts of a website, code, or anything else that generates a cookie and accesses the user's personal data — be blocked in advance.
If you have technical expertise, we suggest displaying a custom message in place of blocked scripts and iframes. This can help turn user refusals into consent. You can follow this guide to do so: https://www.iubenda.com/en/help/1205-how-to-configure-your-cookie-solution-advanced-guide#custom-notice-blocked-scripts
If you prefer, you can also exclude the YouTube/Google Maps script from prior blocking. You have two options to do this:
- You can exclude YouTube/Google Maps from automatic blocking by adjusting your project settings or editing the code directly. Here's the guide:
https://www.iubenda.com/en/help/153445-what-to-do-when-the-automatic-blocking-mode-is-blocking-too-much
- You can set the YouTube/Google Maps service as “necessary” in your Privacy and Cookie Policy. In this way, the cookie banner will not block the service.
If you’re integrating the Privacy Controls and Cookie Solution using one of our plugins, please remember in both cases to disable the plugin’s native prior blocking.
